Why are ID and FD fans popular as Industrial process fans?

Induced Draft (ID) fans and Forced Draft (FD) fans are devices that are extensively used in various kinds of industrial processes. These fans play a very important role in managing the airflow, thereby maintaining safe and stable operating conditions so that the overall system efficiency can be elevated to optimum heights. The ID and FD fans are widely used in furnaces, boilers, cement kilns, thermal power plants, and other systems that make use of combustion and/or heat generation methods.

All kinds of industrial processes that work with burning fuel must have a steady supply of oxygen or air and also a way to get rid of the gases that are produced during combustion. Unless there is proper airflow, it would be difficult to sustain the combustion process properly. The resulting combustion process can become inefficient, unstable, and potentially dangerous. On the other hand, Induced Draft (ID) fans are industrial fans that are used to remove flue gases and maintain the draft balance. They are used for getting rid of flue gases, smoke, and other products resulting from combustion safely out of the system. The gases that are produced during production are hot, dusty, and sometimes corrosive. Hence, there is a need for sturdily built ID fans that can deliver good performance in difficult conditions. By getting rid of these exhaust gases continuously, the ID fans prevent the buildup of these materials inside the system and ensure a steady flow of air through the equipment at all times.  

One of the best reasons for using these fans together is that they help in maintaining a perfectly balanced airflow system for the industrial processes that is both efficient and reliable. While the FD fans push the air in, the ID fans get rid of the gases accumulated within the system. Such a push-and-pull mechanism helps to maintain precise control over the air flow and the air pressure inside the system. Most industrial combustion systems are designed to operate under slightly negative pressure. This means that the internal pressure is somewhat lower than the overall outside atmosphere. By installing the best quality FD and ID fans, it is possible to maintain this condition easily and seamlessly. Using these fans also keeps the workers in the industrial environment safer, as they prevent the harmful gases from leaking into the work environment and causing safety hazards.
